2011 Lincoln Legacy Lecture Series

Lincoln Legacy Lecture

"Lincoln and the Civil War" is the theme of the 2011 Lincoln Legacy Lectures to be held on October 13, 7-9 p.m. in Brookens Auditorium. The speakers will be Dr. Michael Burlingame, Naomi B. Lynn Distinguished Chair in Lincoln Studies at UIS, and Dr. Lucas E. Morel, Lewis G. Term Professor of Politics at Washington and Lee University. Dr. Cullom Davis, Emeritus Professor of History, will serve as moderator.  The event is free and open to the public; no reservation is required.  Students and classes are encouraged to attend.  Overflow seating will be available in Conference Room C/D of the Public Affairs Center.   The lectures will be webcast live at:  http://www.uis.edu/technology/uislive.html.  The Annual Lincoln Legacy Lecture Series is presented by the UIS Center for State Policy and Leadership in cooperation with the Naomi B. Lynn Distinguished Chair in Lincoln Studies.
