Susan FitzpatrickSusan Fitzpatrick been employed since February 2006 as the primary research analyst for Illinois’ Crash Outcome Data Evaluation System (CODES) with responsibility for developing databases and conducting applied statistical analyses on statewide traffic crash and health care databases.

Summary of Prior Work Experience:

With over thirteen years of employment with the Illinois Department of Human Services, her principal experience included five years as the lead business analyst for the development of an enterprise-wide data warehouse with responsibilities for project management, data analysis, quality assurance and data delivery and ten overlapping years as a manager. She managed data collection and reporting activities to support department staff and outside evaluation contractors, directed the development and implementation of a system to efficiently track and extract records from many administrative files to support various welfare reform evaluations, directed the activities of professional staff charged with the development, testing and implementation of information systems, and managed the production of ad hoc reports and analyses.

Additional experience included: nearly two years as a decision support coordinator reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of a small community hospital with responsibility for retrieving, integrating and preparing financial and operational data for decision support; one year as a subject matter expert for the development of record linkage software; ten years with Illinois’ employment and training agency where she coordinated the design and development of information systems for statewide employment and training programs and evaluated employment and training demonstration programs; and nearly three years with Illinois’ central personnel office developing civil service examinations and other selection instruments.
