Barbara Ferrara, Associate Director
Center for State Policy and Leadership
Barbara Ferrara is Associate Director of the Center for State Policy and Leadership of the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS). She has over 20 years’ experience in university-based, sponsored research and project management. Ms. Ferrara assists in the coordination of the Center’s units and activities, in project and grant development, and in implementing funded research and public service projects.Prior to her appointment with the Center, Ms. Ferrara served as assistant director of the Center for Policy Studies and Program Evaluation of Sangamon State University (SSU) (1978-89). In that position she was involved in project work with a variety of state agencies. She holds the MPA degree from SSU (1989) and is currently a student in the doctoral program in public administration at UIS.
