SPPQ Welcomes New Editors
State Politics and Policy Quarterly is very pleased to announce its first change of editorship. After an open search that generated several excellent proposals, a committee of top scholars in the field has chosen the team of Richard Winters (Dartmouth College), David Lowery (University of Leiden), and Ronald Weber (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) to serve as co-editors of the journal for a four-year term, succeeding the founding editor, Christopher Z. Mooney (University of Illinois at Springfield).The new team of editors begins receiving manuscripts on June 1, 2006. The address for new submissions is:

Brief biographies of the new SPPQ editors:
• Richard F. Winters is the Remsen Chair of Government at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Winters teaches American politics, American state politics, and government and business. He has served as president of the American Political Science Association’s Organized Section on State Politics and Policy (1999-2001). His research and writing have focused on the field of state politics and policy.
• David Lowery is Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. Dr. Lowery teaches and conducts research on the politics of interest representation, subnational politics, bureaucratic politics, and research methods. He has authored a number of papers and books on these and other topics. He has served as editor of The Journal of Politics (1997-2001) and president of the American Political Science Association’s Organized Section on State Politics and Policy (2003-05).
• Ronald E. Weber is the Wilder Crane Professor Emeritus of Government at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has served as co-editor of The Journal of Politics (1988-93), president of the Southern Political Science Association (1997-98), and president of the American Political Science Association’s Organized Section on State Politics and Policy (2001-03). He is widely published in the field of U.S. state politics and policy.
