Ron Michaelson

Visiting Assistant Professor with Political Studies and Joint Appointment with the Institute for Legal, Legislative and Policy Studies

Ron Michaelson is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Studies with a joint appointment with the Institute for Legal, Legislative and Policy Studies at UIS. He served in Illinois State government for 33 years. Most of that time (27 years) was spent as the Executive Director of the State Board of Elections. He is also a consultant in the area of election administration and political campaigns.

Professor Michaelson received his Ph.D. in Government from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
