Benefits
In addition to having the opportunity to gain valuable professional work experience and a high quality, marketable graduate education, your benefits also include:
* Monthly Stipend: $950 per month during the academic year (August 16 to May 15) and $1900 per month during the summer (May 16 to August 15).
* Weekly Work Schedule: 20 hours per week during the academic year, and 37.5 hours per week during the summer.
* Tuition Waiver/Credit Hours: nine (9) credit hours tuition waiver for the fall and spring semesters, and four (4) credit hours tuition waiverfor the summer semester. Enrollment for the summer term is optional.
* Professional Development: $300 per year for the purchase of professional resources to enhance your educational experience (professional conferences, software, professional journals, professional memberships, etc.)
* Scholarship Opportunities: additional scholarships are available for GPSI interns, including the Beverly Vaughn Friesland Memorial Scholarship for Graduate Public Service Interns.
* Mentoring: you will have the opportunity to benefit from the mentoring relationship established with your placement supervisor -- a seasoned professional.
* Intern Support: the GPSI office will work closely with you throughout your intern experience.
